As soon as we received the existing client plans we could see that there was going to be an issue with space for the individual users due to the shape & size of the desks initially selected, as well as issues with running the cabling from the perimeter of the room (the desks were not flush to the walls). We requested a meeting at which we produced a cardboard cut-out of the proposed desk shape to demonstrate the issues which convinced the customer to look at other options. We went straight to the new building from that meeting, took accurate measurements of the area, and took these away to see if we could come up with a better layout. We submitted and priced two alternative layouts which worked much better than the original one, the customer selected their preferred option and then it was simply a case of deciding on colour schemes – the fun part! All the goods were ordered and dates agreed for us to follow on behind their fit out contractor; the installation was carried out in one day with all rubbish and packaging removed from site. We have since been in touch with the client to produce additional space plans as they continue to grow and expand.
